Evaluation Procedures
Each week
you will receive 40 participation points for their weekly involvement in
the program. Points are distributed
through the following:
15 points: completing lesson(s) for the week and turning in on time (lesson must be DAP)
5 points: being prepared for the lesson (getting the supplies, making demos, etc.)
5 points: building rapport with the preschoolers
5 points: participation in all activities during the class period
10 points: explaining their lesson to the students and oral presentation of the lesson
5 points: self-reflection on the week identifying if objective has been met

In
addition to your participation a performance evaluation will be conducted at
the end of each marking period. Since
there are no test in this course, this evaluation will be weighed to account
for a majority of your grade. You will be evaluated specifically on your professionalism in
preschool and your job performance as a teacher aid. I expect each and every one of you strive to be the best teacher aid you can be in the preschool program!
